Thai PNB International is proud to announce that we have been officially appointed as the Authorized Agent for SETCON Variable-Speed Gearbox systems in Thailand, introducing our new product line within the rotating equipment group and further strengthening our portfolio of advanced drive and control solutions.

SETCON (or SET Sustainable Energy Technologies, Austria) is an innovative electro-mechanical variable-speed gearbox designed to precisely control the speed of large rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, fans, and blowers. It represents a new generation of drive technology, combining high efficiency with outstanding reliability.

Compared to other geared variable-speed concepts, SETCON delivers superior overall efficiency and sets new standards in durability and operational performance. Thanks to its compatible footprint, it is also an ideal solution for replacing low-efficiency hydrodynamic gear couplings in existing systems.

When compared to conventional technologies such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Hydrodynamic Couplings (HDC), or Hydrodynamic Variable-Speed Drives (HDVSD), SETCON offers a level of energy efficiency that has not previously been achieved. With an efficiency of up to 97%, it is among the most efficient geared drive systems currently available on the market.

The system combines predominantly mechanical power transmission with a minimal use of low-voltage electronic components, resulting in:
